Russian, Chinese companies eye buying Bosch, LG, Samsung plants in Russia

According to Alexey Pogudalov, commercial director of Holodilnik.ru, the enterprises are in talks with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to localize their production, but no agreements have been made

MOSCOW, February 1. /TASS/. Several Russian and Chinese manufacturers of household appliances are negotiating the lease and purchase of Russian Bosch, LG, and Samsung factories which suspended activities in the country after the start of the special military operation, Kommersant wrote citing sources.

Among the brands interested in purchasing are Chinese Hisense (which sells refrigerators, washing machines, TVs, and other equipment in Russia; owns the Toshiba and Gorenje brands), Russian Kuppersberg and Schaub Lorenz (sell refrigerators, hoods, hobs, and other equipment).

According to Alexey Pogudalov, commercial director of Holodilnik.ru, the enterprises are in talks with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to localize their production, but no agreements have been made. The ministry stated that they could not comment on commercial enterprises' plans in Russia, but that they "encourage the localization of high-tech industries."
