Russia’s military output deliveries to India reach $80 bln — Rosoboronexport

Guests to the Russian exposition will also be able to view innovations in the aviation engine segment: for the first time at the Aero India international aerospace and defense show

MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Russia offers India large-scale projects of jointly developing and manufacturing combat aircraft, helicopters, air defense systems, armor and ammunition and promoting this output on world markets and its military deliveries to the South Asian country amount to about $80 billion, state arms seller Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheyev said on Friday.

"India is a major Russian strategic partner in the Asia-Pacific region and one of Rosoboronexport’s key partners in the world. In the past 20 years alone, from 2005 to 2025, Rosoboronexport has signed contract documents worth $50 billion with India and the total deliveries of Russian military products to that country amount to about $80 billion," the chief executive said in the run-up to the 15th Aero India 2025 international aerospace and defense exhibition.

"Today Rosoboronexport and India work on expanding bilateral technological cooperation under the Make in India program. We offer partners large-scale projects of jointly developing and manufacturing military aircraft, helicopters, air defense systems, armor and ammunition. We are also ready to discuss the possibility of jointly promoting these products in third countries," he added.

On February 11, Rosoboronexport will hold the first presentation of the advanced Su-57E multirole fighter jet at the Aero India exhibition’s static show jointly with the United Aircraft Corporation (part of Russia’s state tech corporation Rostec). Russia’s state arms exporter will also demonstrate advanced air-launched missiles intended for the weapons suite of generation 4++ and fifth-generation Russian-and foreign-made fighters, the company’s press office said.

"These weapons will also include the missiles that have proven their high efficiency in real combat conditions, in particular, the RVV-MD2 and RVV-BD missiles for striking air targets, the Kh-35UE missiles for striking combat ships and transport vessels, the Kh-38MLE missiles for high-precision strikes on ground installations, the Kh-58UShKE anti-radiation missile for strikes on emitting radar stations of surface-to-air missile systems, and also the next-generation Kh-69 stealth cruise missile. In the special aviation segment, Rosoboronexport will feature an Il-78MK-90A aerial refueling tanker that can be promptly re-equipped in the process of its operation into the transport, medevac, fire-fighting and medical hospital versions," it specified.

Guests to the Russian exposition will also be able to view innovations in the aviation engine segment: for the first time at the Aero India international aerospace and defense show, Rostec’s United Engine Corporation will feature a new engine, Item 177S offered for its use on generation 4++ and fifth-generation multirole fighter jets, and also the VK-650V engine intended for light-class multirole helicopters. At the Aero India show, Russia will also unveil the Lancet-E UAV system distinguished in its market segment by its exceptionally successful use in real conditions, it said.

For all its products to be on display at the Aero India exhibition, Rosoboronexport is ready to engage in industrial cooperation in full compliance with the Make in India and Self-reliant India programs. Russia’s state arms seller will discuss the issues of expanding cooperation and implementing new projects with India’s state and private enterprises, it said.
