Number of Ukrainian attacks on Zaporozhye nuke plant growing — Rosatom chief

Alexey Likhachev also noted that "current pressure on personnel, threats, terror attacks" are also a source of major concern

MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. The number of Ukrainian attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has been on the rise, Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Russia’s Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, said, following a meeting with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi in Moscow on February 7.

"In my opinion, the risks of attacks by the Ukrainian army are growing, and this is evident both in the number of downed drones and projectiles, and the number of artillery strikes on the premises of the ZNPP, and this causes concern," he said.

The Rosatom chief also noted that "current pressure on personnel, threats, terror attacks" are also a source of major concern.

"Certainly, all of this violates IAEA fundamental safety principles," he noted.
