Kiev pulling reserves to Artyomovsk in bid to regain control of city — adviser to DPR head

It is reported that hundreds of Ukrainian troops continue fighting in Artyomovsk

DONETSK, April3. /TASS/. Kiev is bringing up reserves to Artyomovsk (known as Bakhmut in Ukraine) to try to stage a counterattack, Yan Gagin, adviser for the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), told TASS on Monday.

"The foe is determined to fight for the fringes the Ukrainian army still controls, although they have already lost the city. They (the Ukrainian army - TASS) are moving reserves to try to regain control of Artyomovsk," he said.

According to Gagin, hundreds of Ukrainian troops continue fighting in Artyomovsk. In his words, the bulk of the reserves Kiev is bringing in to the city are destroyed on approach.

Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said in the early hours on Monday that a Russian flag had been hoisted on the building of the Artyomovsk city administration and the city had come under the control of Russian forces.
