Small-size reconnaissance UAVs supplied to Russian army in Ukraine — developer

The drone was first displayed at the Aeronet-2035 exhibition in Moscow in November

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. The Russian company Spetssvyazzashchita has begun supplying small-sized reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Binokl (Binoculars) to forces in the area of the special military operation in Ukraine, the company’s spokesman Dmitry Zubarev has told TASS.

According to Zubarev, the cost of such drones is one-half to one-third of that of the Chinese drone DJI Mavic, which is actively used in the area of hostilities. It is equipped with a small thermal imager capable of detecting enemy forces and weapons round the clock and can carry a grenade dropping device.

"Such drones have begun to be supplied. Both night and daytime versions. We have contracts already. Our products there (in the special operation zone - TASS) are still few, but their number is growing steadily," Zubarev said, adding that dozens of drones were being supplied.

The drone was first displayed at the Aeronet-2035 exhibition in Moscow in November.
