Kiev’s refusal to cease fire during Christmas speaks for its barbaric nature — Shoigu

It is noted that in all, the enemy launched over 550 shells with the use of artillery guns and mortars

MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Ukrainian leadership’s unwillingness to cease fire last month during the Orthodox Christmas festivities speaks for its ‘barbaric nature,’ Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Tuesday.

"The barbaric nature of the Ukrainian leadership was proved by its unwillingness to cease fire during the Orthodox Christmas," he said. "The Ukrainian military had been cynically and intensively shelling populated areas during this period."

"In all, the enemy launched over 550 shells with the use of artillery guns and mortars. Russian troops suppressed Ukraine’s artillery in return fire," Shoigu said.
