Russia to launch mass production of effective drones — Medvedev

"UAVs have proven their effectiveness in modern conflicts. Their use in the zone of the special military operation is an urgent need," the politician stressed

MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. Russia will launch mass production of unmanned aerial vehicles, as they have proven very effective in the special military operation in Ukraine, the deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said on his Telegram channel on Friday.

"UAVs have proven their effectiveness in modern conflicts. Their use in the zone of the special military operation is an urgent need," he stressed. "Russia is yet to launch large-scale production of UAVs of various types."

Medvedev said there had been a special inspection of the Special Technology Center LLC in St. Petersburg that probed into the supply of Orlan drones under the state defense order. Federal executive authorities and law enforcement agencies took part. Medvedev illustrated the post with videos from the workshops and the business meeting.
