MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. Ukrainian nationalists deployed a stronghold in a kindergarten in Avdeyevka, DPR, and deployed artillery and rocket systems on its territory to shell nearby settlements, Russian National Defense Control Center head Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev said Thursday.

"In Avdeyevka, DPR, Ukrainian nationalists deployed a stronghold in the kindergarten number 11 on Tsentralny Avenue. Military vehicles have been deployed next to the educational facility, including artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, which they use to systematically shell nearby settlements," Mizintsev said.

In addition, Ukrainian forces deployed a stronghold and artillery positions in a residential complex on Shevchenko Street in Artyomovsk (Bakhmut). According to Mizintsev, local residents are forbidden from leaving their homes, with all attempts to evacuate on their own being brutally thwarted.

"The nationalists effectively use the people as human shields," the general underscored.
