The units of LPR’s People’s Militia with the support of Russian troops commanded by General Sergey Surovkin completely liberated Severodonetsk and Borovskoye, the entire left bank territory of the Seversky Donets River within LPR borders is now controlled by the republic’s units, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday.

"The units of the Lugansk People’s Republic’s People’s Militia with the support of Russian troops commanded by Army General Sergey Surovkin as a result of a successful offensive completely liberated the cities of Severodonetsk and Borovskoye as well as populated localities Voronovo and Sirotino in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the spokesman said.

He emphasized that "the adversary’s attempt to turn the industrial zone of Severodonetsk’s Azot enterprise into a steady hotspot of resistance has been undermined."
