MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. Commanders of nationalist battalions have staged widespread looting in Chernigov, Sumy and Zaporozhye, taking the stolen things away to western Ukraine in ambulances, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said on Wednesday.
"In addition to physical extermination of the population in Chernigov, Sumy and Zaporozhye, commanders of the nationalist battalions have organized mass looting of residential buildings, and public and private organizations. They use seized ambulances and postal vehicles to take material valuables toward Ukraine’s western borders," he said.
In Zaporozhye, nationalists are destroying vital facilities, the work of public utilities is paralyzed, Mizintsev added.
"In the city of Zaporozhye, the operation of public utilities has been paralyzed. Militants are deliberately destroying critical facilities, while emergency services and ambulance teams, which arrive to rescue victims and localize the consequences of the destruction, become targets for shelling and elimination," Mizintsev said.
