Russian, Turkish Defense Ministers discussed situation in Ukraine during phone call

The Ministers paid special attention to evacuation of Turkish citizens from Ukrainian cities via humanitarian corridors

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister and his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar discussed the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East during their phone call, Russian Defense Ministry said Friday.

"During the phone call, the sides discussed the current situation in Ukraine and the Middle East region. The Ministers paid special attention to evacuation of Turkish citizens from Ukrainian cities via humanitarian corridors," the Ministry said.

The Ministry added that the phone call took place on Turkish initiative.
