HAVANA, November 23. /TASS/. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel received visiting Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the Cuban government said.

The Cuban leader said that the Russian minister’s visit will help strengthen friendship between the two countries. "It demonstrates the line toward strengthening, consolidating and expanding our relations," he said. "Ties are maintained not only between the government but also between people. Those who are present here today belong to the generation, which grew up in the period of the height of the friendship between Cuba and Russia."

The meeting was attended by Cuban Interior Minister Alvarez Casas and other high-ranking Cuban officials.
