Over 30,000 Ukrainian servicemen trained in UK — Danish military

In August, Denmark announced that it would transfer 19 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, in connection with which Ukrainian pilots must learn to fly the aircraft

STOCKHOLM, November 15. /TASS/. More than 30,000 Ukrainian recruits have undergone military training in the UK under the tutelage of Danish instructors since June 2022, the Danish armed forces said.

Over the course of five weeks, the recruits receive training in handling weapons, first aid, ways of moving on the terrain, what to do if they encounter the enemy and demining. Instructors from the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Australia and Denmark were also involved in the training.

In August, Denmark announced that it would transfer 19 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, in connection with which Ukrainian pilots must learn to fly the aircraft. The training will take place mainly at the Skridstrup base. The aim of the course is to acquire basic skills in flying, as well as teaching how to maintenance and repair F-16 jets.
