BRUSSELS, November 13. /TASS/. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has pledged Europe will continue to support Ukraine, saying that aid would even be expanded.
"Not only will we continue to support Ukraine, but we will also expand and increase it," Germany’s top diplomat said upon arrival at a meeting of the bloc’s foreign affairs ministers in Brussels. She refused to give any specific numbers though.
The Bild newspaper reported earlier that Berlin plans to double military aid to Ukraine from €4 bln to €8 bln next year. Earlier this month, the German government announced it would send another 25 Leopard 1A5 tanks it had promised previously, as well as reconnaissance drones and surveillance equipment. In the past 18 months, Germany has provided Kiev with some €24 bln worth of humanitarian, financial and military aid.
