Trump under arrest longer than his defense expected

This entire time Donald Trump has remained formally arrested

NEW YORK, April 4. /TASS/. Former US President Donald Trump has been under arrest for over 40 minutes which surpasses the time that his defense expected the indictment to take.

Trump arrived at the prosecutor’s office in Manhattan about 1:30 p.m. (8:30 p.m. Moscow time) and is still there. The media is not present at this stage of the indictment so it is not clear what is going on inside. Some speculate that Trump is consulting with his lawyer on each individual charge, while, according to another version, the necessary paperwork for local law enforcement is being processed. Finally, CNN noted that at this time the court usually takes a break.

This entire time Trump has remained formally arrested.

Earlier, his attorney Joe Tacopina in an interview with ABC presumed that the entire court appearance would take only 20-30 minutes.
