Cuban president visits Moscow to hold talks with Putin, unveil monument to Fidel Castro

MOSCOW, November 19. /TASS/. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel arrived in Moscow on an official visit on Saturday evening, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.

The president’s flight has landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo-2 Airport. The program of the Cuban president’s visit involves negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and participation in the opening of a monument to Fidel Castro, the leader of the Cuban Revolution.

As TASS was told by Cuba’s embassy prior to the presidential visit, the monument to Fidel Castro, which will be erected on the namesake square in northwestern Moscow, will be unveiled on November 22.
