Xi tells Biden he is dissatisfied with current state of bilateral ties — foreign ministry

According to the Chinese leader, the world community is not interested in a further deterioration of relations between China and the US either

BEIJING, November 14. /TASS/. China is unhappy with the current state of Chinese-US relations as they are developing in the wrong direction, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Monday at a meeting with his US counterpart, Joe Biden, in Indonesia’s Bali.

"Xi Jinping told Biden that the current state of Chinese-US relations run counter to the basic interests of the two countries and their peoples," the Chinese foreign ministry said.

According to the Chinese leader, the world community is not interested in a further deterioration of relations between China and the United States either. "We need to find a new way for cooperation in the new era. We should make efforts so that Chinese-US relations begin to develop in the right way," he stressed.
