Around 100 civilians leave Azovstal, heading to Zaporozhye, says Zelensky

Witnesses told TASS earlier on Sunday that roughly 300 civilians may remain on the territory of the plant

KIEV, May 1. /TASS/. Around 100 civilians have been evacuated from the territory of the Azovstal plant, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on Sunday, adding that they are heading to Zaporozhye now.

"The evacuation of civilians from Azovstal has started. The first group of around 100 people is already heading to the controlled territory. We will meet them tomorrow in Zaporozhye," he wrote on Twitter.
