Croatia denies Russia humanitarian flight to evacuate embassy workers — diplomat

Earlier, Croatian authorities decided to expel 24 employees of the Russian Embassy in Zagreb

MOSCOW, April 25. /TASS/. Zagreb has denied Moscow a humanitarian flight to evacuate a group of employees of the Russian Embassy to Croatia with families, including children, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a commentary circulated on Monday.

According to the diplomat, Russia has to state that the government of Croatia continues to rabidly pursue an anti-Russian policy, persistently and systematically destroying bilateral relations.

"In its bellicose Russophobia, the official Zagreb has come to the point where in a non-diplomatic manner, violating the proprieties and rules of international communication, it denied us a humanitarian flight to evacuate a large group of Russian embassy staff in Croatia, with families, including small children. Besides, we are talking about the people whom the Croatian authorities ordered for no reason to leave the country," Zakharova stressed.

"The inhumane, cynical attitude towards our fellow countrymen won’t go without an answer," she added.
