TOKYO, August 4. /TASS/. Belarusian athlete Kristina Timanovskaya, who was expected to take a flight to Warsaw on Wednesday, boarded a Vienna-bound flight of Austrian Airlines instead, a Narita Airport source familiar with the situation told TASS.

The Austrian plane has already departed from Tokyo, a TASS correspondent said.

The reason why Timanovskaya decided to board another flight at the last moment is yet unknown. According to unconfirmed reports, the decision was made by Polish embassy staffers who accompanied her, because several foreign journalists also planned to take the flight to Warsaw.
