An investigation is underway into the death of Vladimir Sviridov, the former commander of the 6th Air Force and Air Defense Army, whose body was found at his home in the Stavropol Region in southern Russia, according to the Russian Investigative Committee’s office for the region.

"Investigators of the regional office of the Investigative Committee are looking into the case. Work is being done to establish all the circumstances of what happened," a spokesman told TASS.
