MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russia’s federal security service, the FSB, has prevented a series of terrorist attacks at crowded places in the Zaporozhye Region. The attacks were plotted by three Ukrainian citizens on instructions from Ukrainian secret services. All three have made confessions, the FSB’s public relations center told TASS.

"The federal security service has quashed preparations for a series of terrorist attacks in crowded places on the territory of the Zaporozhye Region. In Melitopol, three citizens of Ukraine were detained on their way to a site where they were expected to plant an explosive device at one of the city's markets," the FSB said. Two of them have previous convictions for serious crimes committed in Ukraine. "They have confessed that they were acting on instructions from Ukrainian special services with the aim of intimidating the civilian population of the Zaporozhye Region," the FSB said. The detainees’ names have not been disclosed.
