Moscow Court arrests three Ukrainians suspected of plotting terrorist attack

It is noted that the defendants are suspected of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 30 and paragraph ‘a’ of Part 2 of Article 205, Part 4 of Article 222, Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Russian Criminal Code

MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. Moscow’s Lefortovo court has put three Ukrainian citizens - two men and one woman - under arrest on suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack and for illegal possessing weapons, the court's press service told TASS on Thursday.

"The ruling of Moscow’s Lefortovo District Court of November 23, 2022 regarding Yanina Akulova, Anton Zhukovsky, and Dmitry Sergeev, stated that the defendants would be detained for two months, that is, until January 23, 2023. All three are Ukrainian citizens," the court said.

As the court press service explained, the defendants are suspected of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 30 and paragraph ‘a’ of Part 2 of Article 205 (preparation to commit a terrorist act by an organized group), Part 4 of Article 222 (illegal storage of weapons by an organized group), Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (illegal storage of explosives by an organized group). The press service didn’t report any other details of the case.
