MOSCOW, January 21. /TASS/. Russia recorded 21,887 coronavirus cases in the past day, and the daily case tally was fewer than 22,000 three days in a row, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Thursday.

Russia’s coronavirus case tally hit 3,655,839. The average growth rate reached 0.6%.

The lowest growth rates in the past day were recorded in the Tuva Republic (0.2%), the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, the Magadan Region, the Kostroma Region and the Chukotka Autonomous Region (0.3%).

Moscow confirmed 3,458 new coronavirus cases. Some 3,122 COVID-19 cases were registered in St. Petersburg, 1,092 in the Moscow Region, 493 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 392 in the Sverdlovsk Region and 390 in the Rostov Region.

Currently, 533,789 people are undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in Russia.
