DAVOS, January 23. /TASS/. Russia has inked a new framework agreement with the UN Development Program (UNDP), a spokesman for First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, who signed the document, said on Friday.
This agreement makes Russia a donor country, specifies the country's interaction with UNDP and outlines geographical and thematic trends of cooperation.
"The implementation of this agreement will allow Russia together with UNDP to share its significant expert and practical experience in the development sphere with partner countries, first of all, in the CIS (Commonwelath of Independent States)," the spokesman said.
Some 150 projects were implemented in Russia within the UN Development Program in 1997-2011, mainly in the fields of attracting investment, exports development, energy efficiency, local reforms, post-conflict resolution and anti-AIDS measures.
