MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. Russia’s battlegroup South shot down 12 Ukrainian drones and six HIMARS rockets in the Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours, battlegroup spokesman Vadim Astafyev told TASS on Friday.

"Air defense units shot down 12 Ukrainian drones near the settlements of Peski, Maryinka, and Novopetrikovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, along with six HIMARS rockets," he said.

Besides, the battlegroup’s units repelled two Ukrainian assaults near Kleshcheyevka and struck the enemy’s personnel and equipment near the settlements of Razdolovka, Kurdyumovka and Vasyukovka.

As a result, around 280 enemy servicemen were killed or injured. Ukrainian troops also lost three tanks, an armored personnel carrier and four pickup trucks. Moreover, Russian forces destroyed a Msta-B 152mm howitzer, 152mm Giatsint-B howitzer and three 122mm D-30 howitzers.
