Russian field hospital receiving thousands of patients in Turkey

More than a thousand among them underwent treatment in the in-patient facility of the field multipurpose hospital

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The field multipurpose hospital of the Russian Health Ministry received 5,200 patients over the week and almost 9,000 patients from the start of the deployment in Turkey, the Ministry’s press service told reporters.

"Specialists of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health, who support provision of medical aid to individuals affected during the earthquake in Turkey, helped Turkish colleagues to receive 5,200 patients over the week. More than a thousand among them underwent treatment in the in-patient facility of the field multipurpose hospital," the press service said.

"In total since March 20 - the hospital deployment start time in Turkey - Russian specialists provided medical aid to almost 9,000 individuals affected during the earthquake," it added.
