Russia's coronavirus cases grow by 11,534 reaching 4,234,720

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Russia’s coronavirus cases grew by 11,534 in the past 24 hours, the total number of infected people has reached 4,234,720, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday.

According to the crisis center, the growth rate in relative terms stands at 0.27%.

The lowest daily growth rates were registered in Tuva (0.03%), the Magadan Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region (0.05%), Adygea and Khakassia (0.08%).

Another 951 coronavirus cases were confirmed in St. Petersburg, 558 in the Moscow Region, 395 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 296 in the Voronezh Region and 281 in the Rostov Region.

Currently, 349,571 people in Russia continue treatment.

Russia’s coronavirus fatalities grew by 439 in the past 24 hours compared to 428 deaths reported a day earlier reaching 85,743.

The conditional mortality rate stands at 2.02%, as follows from the data provided by the crisis center.

Another 39 deaths were recorded in St. Petersburg, 31 in the Moscow Region, 18 in the Rostov Region, while the Krasnoyarsk and Krasnodar regions reported 15 fatalities each.

Russia’s coronavirus recoveries grew by 16,020 in the past 24 hours reaching 3,799,406, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday.

According to the crisis center, recoveries have risen to 89.7% of the total number of infected people.

Another 2,538 patients recovered in St. Petersburg, 504 in the Moscow Region, 442 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 387 in the Perm Region and 325 in the Rostov Region.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Moscow grew by 1,825 in the past 24 hours reaching 976,739.

In relative terms, the growth rate stands at 0.19%. The Russian capital reported 1,336 new cases a day earlier.

Forty-one coronavirus patients died in Moscow in the past 24 hours. A total of 15,007 fatalities (1.54%) have been reported so far, according to the crisis center.

Meanwhile, another 2,008 patients recovered in the Russian capital, with recoveries reaching 895,879. At present, 65,853 people continue treatment.
