MOSCOW, February 18. /TASS/. The Kiev regime's accomplices among Europe's elite will be held accountable for what they have done, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.
"Sooner or later all [the Kiev regime's accomplices] will have to answer for what they have done," she pointed out. "As a result, aiding and abetting the modern Ukrainian Bandera supporters may backfire on many European elite representatives as accomplices in the brutal, bloody crimes of the neo-Nazi regime they helped create," the spokeswoman noted.
According to the diplomat, the reason for the "blindness" of Western elites lies in the fact that "they need to justify themselves in the eyes of their own citizens, they need to justify their own failure, the failure of their own policies, so they are ready not only to facilitate the murder of Ukrainian citizens by supplying their weapons, they are ready to lie in the face of their own people."
"Against the background of the rapidly changing geopolitical situation, such flawed logic looks more like a manifestation of desperation, anger, weakness," Zakharova emphasized. "Precisely weakness. No matter how hard they try to prolong the agony of the Kiev regime, this junta, they will not succeed. Unfortunately, only more Ukrainian citizens will die because they have become victims of deception and criminal aggression, into which they were dragged by Westerners under the slogans of democracy, economic prosperity and so on," she concluded.
