MELITOPOL, March 16. /TASS/. Russian forces are controlling the central part of the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region and repelling attacks by Ukrainian troops, who are trying to regain their lost positions, Vladimir Rogov, leader of the We Are Together With Russia movement, told TASS.
"In Rabotino, Ukrainian troops are trying to force our soldiers from their positions. Today, we can say that the settlements southern and central parts are under our control, whereas its northern part is controlled by Ukrainian troops," he said.
According to Rogov, Ukrainian troops continue attacking Russian positions. "I would characterize what is happening on the combat engagement line in the Zaporozhye Region as follows: we are attacking, take control of something, then rebuff counterattacks, then, take control of something else and repel enemy attacks. There have been several such waves, successful for us, during the past month," he said.
The Russian defense ministry said in late February 2024 that Russian forces had won a foothold in Rabotino. Ukrainian troops are trying to regain their lost positions and are deploying additional troops from other sections of the combat engagement line.
