MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military carried out over 10 drone attacks and fired about 30 shells against communities in Russia’s Belgorod Region bordering Ukraine in the past day, Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
"In the Shebekino urban district, six mortar rounds were fired against the settlement of Leninsky, injuring a woman living in a private home where a shell pierced the roof. As a result of an explosion, the woman suffered a closed head injury and was shell-shocked. She received medical assistance on the spot and refused hospitalization," the governor said.
One of the shells pierced the roof of a private home and another shell hit the courtyard of another home where the blast splintered the facade and the fence, smashed windows and damaged an outbuilding. Also, one of the shells hit the premises of an agribusiness, splintering the facade, windows and the fence of another residence, he said.
"In the village of Sereda, an unmanned aerial vehicle dropped two explosives. Four mortar rounds were fired against the town of Shebekino and the village of Terezovka each and six mortar rounds were launched against the settlement of Novaya Tavolzhanka. There are no casualties or destruction in these communities," the governor said.
In the Belgorodsky district, the Ukrainian military attacked the village of Zhuravlyovka with two unmanned aerial vehicles, he said.
"The Ukrainian army’s aerial attack repulsed by air defense systems caused destruction in the Dubovsky rural settlement and damaged an outbuilding," Gladkov said.
In the Volokonovky district, air defenses shot down an aircraft-type drone near the village of Golofeyevka. In the Graivoronsky district, the Ukrainian military fired five mortar rounds against the outskirts of the village of Spodaryushino and attacked the outskirts of the village of Dronovka with two kamikaze drones, he said.
"Another kamikaze drone attacked an infrastructural communications facility in the village. There are no casualties," the governor said.
In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the outskirts of the village of Terebreno came under mortar fire, with three mortar rounds hitting the area. Also, the Ukrainian military attacked Terebreno with four kamikaze drones, he said.
