MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian arms depot near Kherson over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.
"An arms depot of the 124th territorial defense brigade was destroyed near the city of Kherson," the ministry said in a statement.

"In the Kupyansk direction, units of the western battlegroup supported by aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires conducted active operations and repulsed three attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 43rd mechanized and 57th motorized infantry brigades in areas near the settlements of Ivanovka and Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region. In addition, they inflicted damage by firepower on amassed enemy troops and equipment in areas near the settlements of Peschanoye and Berestovoye in the Kharkov Region and Nevskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic. The Ukrainian army’s losses amounted to 35 personnel, two armored combat vehicles and a Gvozdika motorized artillery system," the ministry said.

Russian forces inflicted damage on two Ukrainian army brigades in the Krasny Liman area, eliminating roughly 55 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, units of the battlegroup Center, air strikes and artillery fire inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 63rd and 66th mechanized brigades in areas near the settlements of Chervonaya Dibrova in the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Serebryansky forestry," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Krasny Liman direction over the past 24 hours amounted to "55 personnel and two motor vehicles," the ministry specified.

Russian forces repulsed four Ukrainian army attacks in the Donetsk area, destroying roughly 270 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Donetsk direction, units of the southern battlegroup operating in interaction with aircraft and artillery repulsed four enemy attacks and inflicted damage on the Ukrainian army’s personnel and equipment in areas near the settlements of Bogdanovka, Kleshcheyevka and Toretsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The enemy’s losses in that direction amounted to 270 personnel and two armored combat vehicles," the ministry said.

Russian forces eliminated roughly 245 Ukrainian troops in the south Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East operating in interaction with army aircraft and artillery inflicted damage by firepower on the personnel and equipment of the [Ukrainian army’s] 79th air assault, 102nd and 128th territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Novomikhailovka and Urozhainoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Levadnoye in the Zaporozhye Region. In the past 24 hours, they destroyed 245 enemy personnel, four armored combat vehicles, four motor vehicles, a Msta-B howitzer and a D-30 howitzer," the ministry said.

Russian forces repelled a Ukrainian army attack in the Zaporozhye area, destroying roughly 50 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian battlegroup repelled an attack by an assault group of the Ukrainian army’s 117th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Uspenovka in the Zaporozhye Region. Air strikes and artillery fire inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 65th mechanized brigade in areas near the settlements of Rabotino and Dorozhnyanka in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Zaporozhye direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 50 personnel, four armored combat vehicles, four pickup trucks and a Giatsint-B artillery gun, the ministry specified.
Russian forces destroy 40 Ukrainian troops in Kherson area over past day
Russian forces destroyed roughly 40 Ukrainian troops and two US-made artillery systems in the Kherson area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kherson direction, the enemy’s losses amounted to 40 personnel, five motor vehicles, an M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system and an M777 artillery gun of US manufacture and a Gvozdika motorized artillery system as a result of operations by units of Russian troops, artillery fire and air strikes," the ministry said.
Russian air defenses down two Ukrainian MiG-29 warplanes, Mi-8 helicopter over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down two Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets, a Mi-8 helicopter and destroyed 74 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Over the past 24 hours, air defense capabilities shot down two Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 planes in areas near the settlements of Shirokoye in the Dnepropetrovsk Region and Bereznegovatoye in the Nikolayev Region, and also a Mi-8 helicopter near the settlement of Peschanoye in the Kharkov Region. In addition, they destroyed 74 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
In addition, Russian air defense systems shot down a HARM anti-radar missile, it said.
During the last 24-hour period, operational/tactical and army aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in 103 areas, the ministry said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 547 Ukrainian warplanes, 257 helicopters, 9,465 unmanned aerial vehicles, 442 surface-to-air missile systems, 13,807 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,187 multiple rocket launchers, 7,234 field artillery guns and mortars and 15,939 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the ministry reported.
