Moscow cannot ignore Armenian politicians' anti-Russian rhetoric — MFA spokeswoman

Maria Zakharova noted that Yerevan has recently been taking steps that are at variance with the previously achieved agreements with Moscow

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. The Russian Federation cannot disregard aggressive rhetoric from some Armenian politicians targeting Russian govrenment representatives, journalists and public figures, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing.

"We can't but record the sometimes aggressive, going beyond adequacy rhetoric from certain politicians on the territory of Armenia targeting not only Russian government representatives, but also journalists, experts, and our country in general. We cannot leave this without response," she said.

The diplomat noted that Yerevan has recently been taking steps that are at variance with the previously achieved agreements with Moscow. "Certainly, we will react to this as well," Zakharova summed up.

Nevertheless, Russia and Armenia stay in active contact on bilateral relations, she noted.
