GENICHESK, November 15. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian howitzer and amassed enemy troops in the Kherson area over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, a spokesman for the regional emergency services reported on Wednesday.

"Dnepr battlegroup units inflicted damage on the enemy by firepower in the Kherson direction, destroying amassed enemy personnel near the settlement of Krynki, a Ukrainian military boat in the area of Frolov Island, a D-30 howitzer with ammunition near the settlement of Lvovo and a BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher near the settlement of Tyaginka," the spokesman said.

Russian forces destroyed as many as 40 Ukrainian troops in that direction over the past 24 hours, he specified.

In addition, Russian forces eliminated a Ukrainian army position near the settlement of Veletenskoye in the island zone and an enemy fire emplacement near the settlement of Zmiyevka in the Kakhovka direction, the spokesman said.
