MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Ukraine’s armed forces attempted a counterattack towards Ugledar but sustained heavy losses, the acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, has said.

"As for the area of Ugledar, the Ukrainian army tried to counterattack towards Pavlovka and Shevchenko, but our units and Marines quashed these attempts. The enemy sustained heavy losses," Pushilin said on the Rossiya-24 round-the-clock television news channel.

Pushilin mentioned successes near Avdeyevka.

"After the liberation of Opytnoye, our units have gained an opportunity to move forward towards Avdeyevka. There are certain successes," he said.

Near the community of Pervomayskoye, he said, "the results are not bad."
