Two people killed in Ukrainian mortar shelling in Kherson Region

It is reported that three one-story houses have been completely destroyed

GENICHESK, November 25. /TASS/. Two people were killed and several others sustained wounds in a large-scale overnight mortar bombardment by Ukraine’s armed forces of the town of Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson Region, the local municipal administration reported.

"Overnight on November 24-25, Novaya Kakhovka was targeted by a mass mortar shelling which started at 9:30 p.m. (Moscow time) and continued until morning. The Ukrainian army shelled the city center and residential buildings in the vicinity of a dental clinic and St. Andrew’s church (private buildings). Two women have been killed and several people have been wounded. Three one-story houses have been completely destroyed," the district’s Telegram channel said.

The local administration specified that several multistoried residential buildings were damaged, as well as a dental clinic, while a fire broke out at various non-residential structures. Damage to power lines and a gas pipeline was also reported. According to local authorities, the power and water supply in the city has been partially restored while repairs to the gas pipeline are underway.
