Ukraine building up troops along line of contact in Zaporozhye Region, politician says

Vladimir Rogov said earlier that two Ukrainian armed forces’ brigades, as well as armored vehicles and numerous artillery pieces, were being redeployed to the Orekhov area

MELITOPOL, November 23. /TASS/. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue building up troops along the line of contact in the Zaporozhye Region near the cities of Orekhov and Gulyaipole, Chairman of the We Stand With Russian movement Vladimir Rogov told TASS on Wednesday.

According to him, military equipment keeps coming to the city of Zaporozhye, from where "it is delivered mostly to the Orekhov area and, to a smaller extent, to the area of Gulyaipole and the Kamenskoye settlement." "The situation may change when they launch an offensive. I think that the weather is another factor that’s holding them back because it is the muddy season, there is a lot of mud along the line of contact. However, weather forecasts say that the coming days will be drier," Rogov noted.

He said earlier that two Ukrainian armed forces’ brigades, as well as armored vehicles and numerous artillery pieces, were being redeployed to the Orekhov area. Rogov told TASS that the redeployment of up to 40,000 Ukrainian troops from the Kherson Region to the Zaporozhye Region would take one to two weeks and tensions on the line of contact would start rising afterwards. According to his estimates, Kiev will prioritize seizing the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and the city of Energodar, as well as reaching the city of Berdyansk on the Sea of Azov in a bid to cut off a land corridor to Crimea.
