DPR head reports successes by units advancing on Maryinka

Denis Pushilin specified that Ukrainian attacks were repelled in the Avdeyevka direction. Meanwhile, efforts continue in the direction of Artemovsk and Soledar

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. A grouping of Russian forces, with the support of air and artillery power, is operating in the Maryinka direction, and is successfully advancing, Denis Pushilin, the acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic, said on Tuesday.

"Heavy artillery and aviation are also operating in the Maryinka direction, and the units are also achieving success, even taking into account the fact that there is urban fighting, which causes certain additional difficulties," he said during a Rossiya-24 TV broadcast.

He specified that Ukrainian attacks were repelled in the Avdeyevka direction. Meanwhile, efforts continue in the direction of Artemovsk and Soledar.

Pushilin stated that the situation toward Krasny Liman remained difficult. "The enemy is nearly every day trying to find some gaps [in the defense line] with the use of heavy equipment in various amounts. But at the moment we can say that it is unsuccessful," the acting DPR head said.

On Tuesday, Pushilin claimed successes in the Pavlovsk and Ugledar directions.
