Ukrainian army shifts from attack mode to defensive crouch near Artyomovsk, Soledar — LPR

Andrey Marochko said earlier that the situation was complicated around the two cities but the allied forces were advancing step by step

LUGANSK, November 21. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops have abandoned offensive actions and moved into a defensive crouch near the cities of Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) and Soledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said Andrey Marochko, an officer with the Lugansk People’s Republic’s (LPR) People’s Militia.

"The enemy moved into a defensive crouch near the cities of Artyomovsk and Soledar. The Ukrainian command abandoned offensive actions and focused on holding their positions due to the daily losses in manpower and equipment, as well as based on the situation on the ground," he wrote on Telegram.

Marochko said earlier that the situation was complicated around the two cities but the allied forces were advancing step by step. He explained that Ukrainian troops had set up significant fortifications there, which created additional difficulties. Acting DPR head Denis Pushilin also emphasized that troops were advancing in the Artyomovsk area.
