Ukrainian troops in disguise taking part in staged rallies in Kherson, politician says

According to Alexander Malkevich, all these shows are being put up for the Western media and Ukrainian TV programs

GENICHENSK, November 17. /TASS/. The Kiev authorities are staging rallies in support of Ukraine in the city of Kherson, which involve Ukrainian service members dressed as civilians, Russian Civic Chamber member and Freelance Advisor to the Kherson Regional Governor Alexander Malkevich told TASS on Thursday.

"Various rallies are staged in the city every day, with people forced to take part in them, and we can also see troops in disguise there. They aren’t Kherson residents. They are sent there to wave Ukrainian flags and say that although there is no power, water, heating and food, they are happy that Ukraine has allegedly returned to Kherson," he noted.

According to Malkevish, all these shows are being put up for the Western media and Ukrainian TV programs.

On November 9, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu ordered that Russian troops be pulled from the right bank of the Dnieper River back to the left bank based on a suggestion by Army General Sergey Surovikin, chief of the Russian military operation in Ukraine. According to Surovikin, all civilians who wanted to leave the area - over 115,000 people - have been relocated from the right bank.
