Kiev’s policy to continue conflict fully backed by West — Russian Foreign Ministry

It was mentioned that tentative signals of the importance of using diplomatic means to settle the Ukrainian crisis that have been emerging in the US and Europe have recently been dying down

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. The Kiev regime’s policy to continue military action in Ukraine is fully approved by the West, which is ready to send even more weapons to the country, Ivan Nechayev, Deputy Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Department, told a briefing on Thursday.

"This policy of the Kiev regime (to continue the conflict - TASS) is completely approved by the West, which is ready to send increasingly more arms to Ukraine, allowing the Ukrainian army to shell residential districts and social facilities in the DPR, LPR, Kherson, Zaporozhye and a number of other Russian border regions," he said.

"Tentative signals of the importance of using diplomatic means to settle the Ukrainian crisis that have been emerging in the US and Europe have recently been dying down," the diplomat noted. "The interests of the ‘war party’ have come first, it seems. Calls for further comprehensive aid to Ukraine are being heard again," he concluded.
