Russia lauds Xi Jinping’s concept of community of common destiny, diplomat says

Xi Jinping introduced the concept of building a community of common destiny and ensuring mutually beneficial common development at the 2017 session of the UN General Assembly

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Moscow applauds the idea of building a community of common destiny put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping, given the current geopolitical situation, Russian Foreign Ministry Deputy Spokesman Ivan Nechayev said at a briefing on Thursday.

"We can see the positive impact of the concept of building a community of common destiny for mankind, put forward by the Chinese president, in terms of strengthening the international community’s unity and pooling its efforts to respond to the common challenges of the present-day world," the diplomat noted.

Nechayev pointed out that today, "Russia and China share similar approaches on the vast majority of global issues." "Our countries have common positions on the collective West’s plans to build a NATO-centered architecture of global security, and actively make joint efforts to boost the multipolar system of international relations," he noted. "Given the current radical changes in the geopolitical situation, we are determined to enhance foreign policy coordination with our Chinese partners in order to establish a more democratic and fair multipolar world order," Nechayev stressed.

Xi Jinping introduced the concept of building a community of common destiny and ensuring mutually beneficial common development at the 2017 session of the United Nations General Assembly.
