‘Disposable’: Ukraine’s military throwing newly called-up draftees into combat first — LPR

Andrey Marochko said earlier on Wednesday that the Ukrainian military command considered the Lugansk front as a priority direction, regardless of casualties

MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military command is sending newly-mobilized citizens into combat action first, followed by professional troops and mercenaries, with landmines frequently not cleared in advance, resulting in heavy casualties, Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) militia officer Andrey Marochko revealed on Wednesday, citing reconnaissance data.

"The Ukrainian military command uses mobilized citizens as ‘disposable field engineers…’ Normally, servicemen from among mobilized citizens man the enemy’s forward lines. In most cases, no engineering work to clear away minefields is carried out, which leads to heavy casualties among the personnel," the officer wrote on his Telegram channel, noting that "mobilized Ukrainian citizens are used as a ‘disposable mine-clearing force’ for foreign mercenaries who advance in the second echelon."

Marochko said earlier on Wednesday that the Ukrainian military command considered the Lugansk front as a priority direction, regardless of casualties.
