Kherson remains Kherson Region’s administrative center after troop pullback, Kremlin says

On November 9, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu ordered the pullback of Russian forces from the right bank of the Dnieper River

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. There have been no decisions to stop considering Kherson the administrative center of the Kherson Region after the recent Russian troop pullback, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

"No other decisions have been made," Peskov said, when asked if Kherson remained the capital of the Kherson Region after the Russian troop withdrawal.

On November 9, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu ordered the pullback of Russian forces from the right bank of the Dnieper River, where the region’s center is located, under the proposal of Sergey Surovikin, commander of the joint group of forces in the special military operation zone. According to Surovikin, all civilians who expressed their desire to evacuate, which is over 115,000 people, have been brought to the left bank.
