Power station in Kherson Region’s areas on right bank of Dnieper destroyed, operator says

Ukrenergo plans to redirect electricity from two neighboring regions for continued power supplies to the two affected territories

KIEV, November 15. /TASS/. A power generating facility that used to supply electricity to the Kherson Region’s areas on the right bank of the Dnieper River and to the bulk of Ukraine’s Nikolayev Region has been completely destroyed, Ukrenergo CEO Vladimir Kudritsky reported on Tuesday.

"A power plant that was there to generate electricity for the entire [Dnieper] right bank area of the Kherson Region and the bulk of the Nikolayev Region has been effectively destroyed. It is no longer there," Kudritsky wrote on his Facebook (outlawed in Russia as being owned by Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia) account.

Ukrenergo plans to redirect electricity from two neighboring regions for continued power supplies to the two affected territories.

On November 9, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu ordered the pullback of Russian forces from the right bank of the Dnieper River, where the region’s center was located, under the proposal of Sergey Surovikin, commander of the joint group of forces in the special military operation zone. According to Surovikin, all civilians who expressed their desire to evacuate, which is over 115,000 people, have been brought to the left bank.
