Pacific Fleet marines liberating DPR community in Ukraine operation — top brass

It is stressed that the numerous attacks by Ukrainian Neo-Nazis and mercenaries on the Russian marines’ positions have had no success

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Units of the Pacific Fleet’s 155th separate Guards Marine Corps brigade managed to break through the Ukrainian army’s defense and start liberating the community of Pavlovka in the southern Donetsk area, according to a video posted by Russia’s Defense Ministry on its Telegram channel on Thursday.

"The marines’ assault groups and supporting units broke through the enemy’s multilayered and well-fortified defense area, which enabled Russian troops to start liberating the settlement of Pavlovka," the ministry said in a statement.

The numerous attacks by Ukrainian Neo-Nazis and mercenaries on the Russian marines’ positions have had no success, the ministry stressed.

"The Guards marines are fighting staunchly and courageously. By overcoming the enemy’s resistance and delivering simultaneous strikes on converging lines, they are liberating block by block. Volunteers of the mobilization reserve fighting along with the brigade’s contract-enlisted personnel have especially distinguished themselves," a brigade representative said.

Supported by Russian missile troops, artillery and army aviation aircraft, the Fleet’s marines are attacking in several converging directions and methodically crushing the enemy, the Defense Ministry said.
