Polish regular army soldiers spotted in Zaporozhye Region, politician says

Vladimir Rogov said on November 7 that the share of foreign nationals in the Ukrainian forces active in the Zaporozhye Region could exceed 50% of manpower

MELITOPOL, November 9. /TASS/. Service members of Poland’s regular army who are formally on leave are stationed along the line of contact in the Kiev-controlled part of the Zaporozhye Region, Chairman of the We Stand With Russia movement Vladimir Rogov told TASS on Wednesday.

"Formally, they are all members of the International Legion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces but we are well aware that there are service members there supposedly on leave. It would have been hard to recruit such a large number of mercenaries in Poland," Rogov said.

According to him, there aren’t many Polish private military companies but some are already taking part in military activities in the Kharkov Region and Donbass. "All Polish private military companies could fit along the Zaporozhye line of contact, not to mention the fact that they are also active in the Kharkov direction and Donbass. <...> Undoubtedly, it’s about regular Polish units that have been authorized through the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ International Legion," the movement’s chairman noted.
