Lavrov briefs Indian top diplomat on special military operation in Ukraine

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov briefed his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, as Lavrov himself said following a meeting with the Indian top diplomat on Tuesday.

"For our part, we reiterated our appreciation of our Indian friends’ position on the situation in and around Ukraine. I briefed the foreign minister on the special military operation aimed at achieving the goals that the Russian president set forth in his address on February 24," Lavrov pointed out.
