MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov briefed his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, as Lavrov himself said following a meeting with the Indian top diplomat on Tuesday.
"For our part, we reiterated our appreciation of our Indian friends’ position on the situation in and around Ukraine. I briefed the foreign minister on the special military operation aimed at achieving the goals that the Russian president set forth in his address on February 24," Lavrov pointed out.
"We certainly discussed the current situation concerning our Western colleagues’ attempts to use Ukrainian developments as an excuse to ensure their dominant role in global affairs and prevent the democratization of international relations," the Russian foreign minister added.
