Ukrainian army keeps testing defense lines in Kherson Region, official says

According to Kirill Stremousov, efforts continue to evacuate civilians from the west bank of the Dnieper River

KHERSON, November 5. /TASS/. The situation on the line of contact in the Kherson Region remains unchanged despite the Ukrainian army’s attempts to test defense lines, the region’s Deputy Governor Kirill Stremousov said on Saturday.

"Nothing has changed on the line of contact despite attempts by Ukrainian Nazis to test defense lines," he wrote on Telegram.

According to Stremousov, efforts continue to evacuate civilians from the west bank of the Dnieper River.

The Kherson Region’s Acting Governor Vladimir Saldo announced on October 18 that civilians would be relocated from the west bank of the Dnieper River to the east bank due to the risk of flooding that could happen if Ukrainian forces struck the Kakhovka hydropower plant. The official said on October 31 that people on the east bank living within 15 km of the Dnieper would also be evacuated.
