MOSCOW, May 17. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has not signed orders on appointment of envoys to Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics yet, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Tuesday.

"There have been no orders yet. We will announce them as soon as they appear," he said, answering a question if Putin has decided on the candidacies for the mentioned offices.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said that selection of candidates for these offices continues, adding that Moscow does not rush this issue.

On February 22, Russia established diplomatic relations with Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics at the level of embassies.

On February 25, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the opening of embassies in Moscow, Donetsk and Lugansk with DPR Foreign Minister Sergey Peresada and LPR Foreign Minister Vladislav Deinego.

On May 6, DPR head Denis Pushilin and LPR head Leonid Pasechnik appointed their ambassadors to Russia - Olga Makeyeva and Rodion Miroshnik. On the same day, the envoys presented their letters of credence to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko.
